Casey Prestwood to headline April 14 "Songwriters at the Speakeasy" show

The April 14 Songwriters at the Speakeasy show at 7 pm Broadway Roxy will feature two local heavyweights. Casey Prestwood is a longtime torchbearer of Denver-style honkytonk who has released a pair of recordings and toured the US and parts of Europe with his band, the Burning Angels. These days when he's not on a stage he's behind one as steel-guitar tech for Nashville sensation Jelly Roll. Andy Ard cut his musical teeth in the revered club scene of Athens, GA before moving to D-town. His award-winning and catchy songs fuse rock, pop, funk and folk and call to mind Ray Davies. A busy songsmith and collaborator, Andy is also bandleader for Voices Rock and a singer/guitarist of Slacktown. I look forward to hosting these two artists on the 14th and I hope you'll be there. Please bring a friend. Admission is free, a $5 or more donation for the artists is encouraged, talking during songs is not.
